If your baby has been diagnosed with Deformational Plagiocephaly or any other head shape abnormalities, it’s crucial to gather all the necessary information before deciding on any treatment options. Our team of certified Orthotists can help you create a treatment plan that will improve your baby’s cranial health. With over 30 years of experience in orthotics, Ortho Design has been specializing in pediatric orthoses, specifically Cranial Remolding Orthoses (CRO) also known as remolding helmets, since 2012.
We strive to provide a positive, welcoming, and family-friendly environment to help families achieve cranial health for their infants. Additionally, we are a provider of post-surgical helmets for BC Children’s Hospital.
Following the Government of British Columbia regulations, the fitting of Cranial Remolding Orthoses must be conducted by a Certified Orthotist.
Ortho Design take great pride in being a trusted service provider for STARband Cranial Remolding Orthoses (CRO), the leading provider of CRO devices worldwide.
A corrective orthosis produces excellent results and has no known head growth side effects. The earlier the treatment starts, the better for your baby and the more effective the treatment!
Our clinic and lab is centrally located in Kelowna with easy access to parking and bus routes. Our skilled staff expertly create, adjust, and maintain orthotic devices. With our comprehensive service lab, we provide efficient and timely service and maintenance. Our team of Certified Orthotists ensures that every aspect of the remolding process from fitting to adjusting a cranial orthosis is taken care of to promote the cranial health of your infant.
Outreach clinics are continuously available, providing service to the Grand Forks, Nelson and Trail Hospitals. Referral from the south Okanagan via the OSNS Child and Youth Development Centre can be booked locally in Penticton on Mondays and outreach clinics are available in Vernon for our North Okanagan, Shuswap and Thompson River clients twice per week at Progression Muscle, Bone & Joint Clinic.

We were sent from BC Children’s Hospital post-surgical to have a helmet fitted for our son. We saw Anna and she was so gentle and kind, we had so many questions, she was so patient. My son’s head is fine and I hope one day we will forget this ever happened.
The staff at Ortho Design were caring and patient with our many questions and helped us navigate the process of a remolding helmet for our child.
